Computer History Museum
Always fascinating, the Computer History Museum gives you a tour of recent discoveries that changed the world. You can see how today’s computers developed from their beginnings in pre-computing ideas and how the computer power changed from gears to vacuum tubes to powerful semiconductors. You can see more than 450 fascinating artifacts, including the Honeywell "Kitchen Computer", the Cray 1, the Johnniac and an Eniac rack. Tours of about one hour are held Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:00 p.m. and the first and third Saturdays of the month at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. For information visit www.computerhistory.org. Tech Museum of Innovation – The world famous Tech Museum in San Jose is a hands-on technology museum devoted to inspiring the innovator in everyone. Intel Museum – At the Intel Museum, visitors enter the micro-miniature world of computer chips as they learn how they are designed, manufactured and placed into thousands of products in our everyday world. The Intel Museum has 3,500 square feet of interactive exhibits that appeal to both children and adults. The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium – This amazingly informative and fascinating landmark was inspired by the Temple of Amon at Karnak. History San Jose
History San Jose, formerly History Museums of San Jose; operates two sites: the San Jose Historical Museum in Kelley Park and the Peralta Adobe & Fallon House Historic Site in downtown San Jose. This 14-acre park-like area features 27 original and reconstructed homes, businesses, and landmarks that illuminate the culture and history of San Jose and Santa Clara Valley.
